Dry brushing is a simple, effective technique used to exfoliate the skin, stimulate the lymphatic system, and boost circulation.

  1. Preparation (Timing): Dry brush your skin when it is completely dry, ideally just before you shower or bathe. Do not use the brush on wet skin or immediately after showering.
  2. The Technique (Direction): Always brush in long, sweeping strokes directed towards your heart. Start at your feet and work your way up your legs, then brush your hands, arms, and torso (avoiding sensitive areas like the face and any broken skin).
  3. Intensity: Use a light, firm pressure—the goal is to exfoliate, not scratch or irritate the skin. Overlapping your strokes ensures you cover all areas.
  4. Finish: Immediately after brushing, take a shower to wash off the exfoliated dead skin cells. Finish by applying a nourishing body oil or moisturizer to lock in hydration.

Pro Tip: Brush for about 3 to 5 minutes total, 3 to 4 times per week, for best results.
