Herbalist Note & Energetics

Herbalist Note: Black Cohosh (Actaea racemosa) is a profound herb I use with respect and specific intention, characterized by its Cooling, Pungent, and slightly Bitter energetics. It is a powerful nervine antispasmodic and phytoestrogenic tonic that shines in addressing hot flashes, night sweats, and irritability associated with menopausal transition. However, its deepest value lies in its ability to relieve deep, underlying pelvic and uterine tension, making it an excellent choice for painful or difficult periods—especially those with a cramping, tensive quality. I reserve it for clients who need strong, calming support for the reproductive and nervous systems during times of hormonal shift.

Energetics: Cool, Dry, Bitter
